“Moving towards “More citizen, less system” is a big change filled with opportunities, barriers and dilemmas. This calls for leadership in a broad sense from both formal managers, professionals, support functions as well as citizens and civil society. At King Frederik Centre for Public Leadership, we create, share and apply knowledge about leadership that can help public organisations succeed with such movements. At the seminar, I will present research on how such changes take place and what we can learn from our studies of the movement in Aarhus Municipality.” Mads Leth Jakobsen, King Frederik Centre for Public Leadership, University of Aarhus
“Social Sundhed (Social Health) bridges the gap for people in vulnerable and marginalised positions in their encounters with the healthcare system. We train volunteer health students, equipping them with skills, knowledge, and insight into the conditions and barriers that create and maintain social inequality in health. At the seminar, we will discuss our work in breaking down the barriers between healthcare and social work, and how we innovate to create social equality in health for everyone.’’Kristina Louise Bliksted, CEO

‘Is it worth investing in a new and effective approach to supporting young people who are not in employment or education and face complex challenges? This is one of the key questions a comprehensive evaluation of the social investment project Youth In Focus aims to answer. By significantly reducing caseloads, the initiative creates the conditions for a holistic employment support effort. Since 2021, it has supported around 500 randomly selected vulnerable young people. At the seminar, we’ll explore the mechanisms behind Youth In Focus and the positive changes it brings to young people’s well-being.’’ Michael Justesen, Head of Finance, Department of Social Affairs and Employment, City of Aarhus
